We'll Always Have Paris (Part III)

Finally, here you guys have the final -and most extensive installment- of our 'We'll Always Have Paris' series. As I told you, it wasn't 100% vacation time for me, as I had to work. However, we were able to squeeze some three-or-four-hour city tour every day.

Tuesday afternoon, we headed to Montmartre. We entered the Sacré-Cœur  for some praying, admired the views of the city from the hill and also strolled around the lovely quartier, full of cute little stores and cafes.

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays there's a lovely market a few blocks away from our studio, by MaubertMutualité , where you can find, amongst other things, the real Made-in-France striped t-shirt for only 12 euros.

Wednesday afternoon, we decided to remain on the Rive Gauche and explore the Panthéon, Jardin du Luxembourg and St. Germain.

I was kind of looking forward to having a drink at Les Deux Magots, but it was temporarily closed for renovation. We headed to Café de Flore instead. Both venues remain historic references of the Parisian intellectuality,  as they had brilliant thinkers and writers such as Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir or Camus as regulars.

Our apartment was located right by this charming little cinema, Le Desperado. They were now showing Cary Grant movies.

And speaking of French film protectionism...

OK...If I had one euro for every time my brother recommended us this restaurant, Le Navigator, we could have paid for that dinner on Thursday night. We would be returning to Germany the day after, and we could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our last night in Paris. Thanks Pedro! :)

OK, so if I had one euro for every time Gwyneth Paltrow recommended me this Brasserie... ;) Let's just say that Balzar is featured in GOOP and it happened to be located in the same street where we had our studio. That's where we had our last breakfast before we headed to Gare du Nord.

Here you guys have some pics of our little studio and my 'portable' home office:

Hope you guys had enjoyed the post as much as we did!
