The lovely Caroline has recently shared a very insightful article about scientifically proven things that can make us happier. As it turns out, planning (fantasy) trips is one of them. Ha! I totally get it!
In order to boost my happiness today, I am going to plan my fantasy trip to...KILIMANJARO. Trekking the Kilimanjaro sounds like one of the most amazing (travelling) experiences you can ever have. The Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania's Kilimanjaro National Park, is the highest mountain in Africa. It is composed of three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira.
The first attempt to climb the Kilimanjaro was done back in the XIX century. These days, there are several agencies in the area that organize group trekking tours.
Pros: You don't have to be a professional athlete to make it -although it is widely recommended to hit the gym regularly and hike with a backpack as much as possible. Cons: It is not cheap.
Click here for more information on the trekk or just enjoy the pics below... ;)
