Long Story Short: I'm Back

Our Lucia at 9 months

Hello there!

It's been way longer than I expected. Anyway, here I am. Better late than never, right?

So picking up right where we left off, Michael and I welcomed our baby daughter Lucia into this world on November 28, 2014. She just turned 18 months a few weeks ago and is growing healthy and happy.

The other side of the coin is that my dear father passed away on September 30 last year. Luckily he could meet his first grand daughter. A few weeks after the birth, my parents stayed with us in Bonn for a while. We celebrated Lucia's second month of life all together. Little did we know back then, that my dad wouldn't make it to her first birthday.

As for me, living so close my daughter's first year of life as well as my dad's latest months has been such a transformative experience. Life is the most precious gift and only a few things really matter.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Here you guys have a few of those to hopefully make up for the lack of posts during the past year and a half or so.

We were about to leave the hospital...She was just 3 days!

I miss the blogging community and I am happy that I made it through my first post in such a long time. To many more!

  1. Elsa! So glad you are back! Your baby girl is gorgeous. That last pic of her at 18mo. is my favorite. Such a cutie!
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I understand what you mean about it being life changing. The impact doesn't really get any less intense as years go by either.
Thanks for visiting Classy Ever After and for all your kind words. I have missed you, girl!
    XO!
