My Ongoing Obsession About 'Ombre Highlights'

I'm a natural brunette, and when it comes to change a bit my color -and cover some grey hairs as well!- I usually go for DIY solutions such as Garnier or L'Oreal color treatments -easy and super affordable!

However, whenever I feel it's time for a change, I'm always torned between investing in some fabolous highlights or getting the $12-color treatment du jour and get it done by myself.

About the so-called 'Ombre highlights', the price point and high maintenance are big turn-offs for me. On the other hand, the final result is amazing! Check out my favorite brunettes-going- ombre:

    Go for it -- Ombre is a hot trend. I did a variation of the ombre look with light red highlights and dark red on the bottom. It looks cute!

    I got them done when I was at home for Christmas and I love love love them. It was the perfect change to my hair. I won't have to have them redone until I'm home again in a couple of months too so they are VE-RY low maintenance. A plus!

    ..I love ombré hair , but after I had a colouring disaster few weeks ago I will leave my hair alone for a while :)
