I'm counting down the days until next Thursday, when my parents will be landing in sunny Florida to spend several weeks with me. No doubt, family reunions in Miami will always be remembered as some of the happiest times I had in USA. When there's an ocean between you and your folks during the biggest part of the year, the whole experience takes a new level of emotion and excitement.
When I am at the office, my parents get to do some tourism on their own, while on weekday evenings, we relax at home. On weekends we can hit the Keys or some other beachtowns nearby.
But this time around, I'm also very excited about showing to my mum my progress in the kitchen (Yay!) I have in mind several recipes that I want to try with her -as there's centainly much room to grow and she'll be able to help me!
3. Blueberry tart (I actually plan to welcome them with this!)

My parents live in a different country from me too, so I can really understand your excitement and joy about their visit! Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter, grandaughter, and son-in-law are coming down to N.C. to visit next week from P.A. I can't wait. I always have something special waiting for them when they arrive too. This time I'm thinking about making these...

Ah, Elsa! I hope you'll have a wonderful time with your parents ... As an Italian descent, I love to cook and the more people involved in the kitchen, even better! My specialty, when I receive family is pasta, of course ... do some delicious cannelloni and usually serve some bruschetta with prosciutto, tomato and basil as a starter, and for dessert ... granita!
ReplyDeleteOk, now I'm really hungry! Hehe!
