Historic Weekend

How was your weekend darlings?

Mine was extremely eventful and exciting. My country's soccer national team just won the European Championship title. LA ROJA has not only made history, but also brought so much happiness and euforia to millions of Spaniards, making US believe that hard work and passion always pay off!

But my weekend was not only about soccer! As I previously mentioned, some friends from Spain were in town for three days. What an awesome time we had! The ultimate goal was to make sure they had the best Miami experience. I think, we did a pretty good job!

Friday Night: Even though the girls arrived at MIA on Thursday night and they hit the beach on Friday while I was at the office, the MIA experience got oficially started on Friday night. Awesome musician Brendan O'Hara presented his latest album during an 'intimate concert' in Tobacco Road -the oldest bar in Miami. It became the best opportunity to show to the girls how the most underground music scene in town looks and sounds like. After the concert, which took place on the upper level, we headed to the patio, where we had a great time dancing the night away. So much fun!

Saturday, June 30: My neighbour invited us to join her on a boat ride. Well, it doesn't get any better than that. The day was gorgeous! After leaving the Marina, located in North Bay Village, we headed to Hollover, to later on go all across Miami Beach until arriving at The Standard, where we had lunch. It probably was the best boat ride of my life: the weather, itinerary and mostly the company were just perfect.

That night, we headed to The News, which is progressively becoming our favorite place in town for dancing. The location, ambiance and music are so inviting and always a guarantee of good vibes and fun times.

Sunday, July 1: We could not have wrapped the Miami weekend any better. We watched the Europe Championship final in Brickell's Waxy O'Connor. What a game! I even jumped all around at goal #4! After the game, we took the 'last drink' in Baru, right before heading to the airport to drop the girls, who by the way are continuing their fabulous vacations in Chicago

Thank you girls and La Roja for such an awesome weekend!
