Maria De Villota: The Rebirth Of A Hero

Source
Back in July, Maria De Villota's potentially fatal car crash shook the Formula 1 world to the core. The 32-year-old Spaniard pilot had become in a short period of time, one of the most acknowledged female players in a sport traditionally reserved for men.

Maria is now lucky that she could save her life, and is ready to take on God's second chance of living full of love and energy. During her first public press conference after the accident, De Villota admitted that the eye she lost in the accident gave her actually the ability to see that there are more things in life than just Formula 1. At the same time, she will keep on fighting to give women the place they truly deserve in motorsports.

Here's to those who have to lose so much to win! My prayers, love and admiration to all of them!
