Recovery weekend!

As much as I feel truly grateful for the past twelve days -my wonderful trip to Germany as well as a couple of dinners with the girls after my return- I was actually looking forward to finally spending one night at home, resting and recovering from my cold due to the plane's AC.

For my Friday night date with myself, I opted to keep it real enjoying one of the most delicious dinners I can possibly think of -this baguette sandwich with manchego cheese and serrano ham from The Cheese Course, along with some California Merlot. The meal certainly did its recovery job as I could sleep on Saturday until noon.

Another highlight of the weekend was my brand-new reading, Paulo Coelho's Aleph: I just love this feeling when you cannot stop reading, and at the same time, you also want to pace yourself so that the reading lasts longer. I cannot wait to share with you my impressions and learning points about the book. Every Coelho's book that I have ever read has made a difference in my life.

So that's what my weekend was all about: good eating, good resting and good reading and some good company as well!

How was your weekend?

  7. The simplest lunches are the best- whenever I go to France, I always end up eating a ton of baguettes with baked ham and emmenthal cheese! Brings back memories!
