I've always been pretty fascinated by the arts and fashion trends generated during the sixties and seventies. In fact, I would dare to say that most part of the biggest fashion and pop culture global icons surfaced during those years.
Francoise Hardy was one of the most acclaimed French singers during that time -along with
Edit Piaf and
Silvie Vartan. Her talent, beauty and charisma captivated
Mick Jagger -who said that she was 'his perfect woman'- and
Bob Dylan -who even wrote her a poem.
Hardy is definitely one of my 'girl crushes': She had -and still has- this unique beauty that conveys elegance, strenght and effortless sophistication. Let's face it: French ladies have this 'je ne sais quoi...' Tous Les Garcons Et Les Filles, Le Temps De L'Amour or Comment Te Dire Adieu (honeslty...I don't think any woman has ever asked for explanations after a break-up on a more elegant way!) are some of my favorite songs.
To quote one of the greatest...Isn't she lovely?
